The clinic was one of
the first sports medicine centres in Australia to use PRP
treatment for muscle and tendon injuries.
It also has extended its use to treat arthritic joints to
help the articular cartilage regenerate.
The process involves taking a sample of your own blood
and spinning it over 10-15 minutes to concentrate the platelets
in the plasma which can then be injected into an injured
area. This allows the body’s own growth factors in the
plasma and platelets to naturally accelerate healing of
injured areas.
