Liz Steet
Specialist Sports Physiotherapist

Director and owner of South Sydney Sports Medicine since 1986.  She is one of Australia’s first specialist sports physiotherapists.

A first contact practitioner with extensive experience in diagnosis of musculo-skeletal conditions.

Extensive experience with rugby league, having worked with South Sydney in the 80’s and early 90’s, the Roosters for 12 years, NSW State of Origin for 16 years and various stints with the Kangaroos, City and the original Indigenious Dream Team.

She is currently physiotherapist for the country origin side and the Australian women’s water polo team.

She is actively involved in the clinical education of physiotherapy and specialization programmes.

Regularly lectures and tutors for the physiotherapy and sports trainers courses.

Has interest and experience with many various m-s conditions with particular interest in contact injuries including knees, shoulder and hips
 

Mark Beaven
Sports Physiotherapist

Mark has been a partner in the practice since 1986. He did his initial physiotherapy degree at Sydney University and followed up to attain a Graduate Diploma in Manipulative Therapy. He is a recognised Sport Physiotherapist by the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

Mark has also worked for a year in the largest Sports Medicine practice in Calgary, Canada. Sports coverage has included 15 years at the South Sydney Rabbitohs; 5 years as physiotherapist to the Australian Rugby League team and more recently physiotherapist to the Fijian National Rugby League team, Maoris Rugby League team and the Australian Rugby League team touring to P.N.G.

On a different tack Mark has spent more than 10 years with Qantas helping their “Industrial” athletes.
 

Andy Noyes
Physiotherapist

Andrew completed his studies at the University of Sydney and has had 14 years experience as a physiotherapist in both the elite sporting and non-elite population.

He has worked in Australia and the United Kingdom in the public and private health systems.

His experience has involved a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.

Andrew has worked with rugby union teams and Lancashire League Cricket in the UK.

He has had experience with swimming and rugby sevens at the Manchester Commonwealth Games in 2002, as well as being physiotherapist for the Newtown Jets Rugby League team.

Andrew is the current team physiotherapist for the Auckland Vulcans, feeder club to the Auckland Warriors NRL team.

Andrew has a keen interest in sports injury management, orthopaedic rehabilitation and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. He has seven years experience in acupuncture/dry needling. Andrew is also a registered headache/migraine specialist.

Andrew’s ethos is based around hands on therapy and exercise based rehabilitation.
 

Adam Bentley
Physiotherapist

Adam has completed a Masters in Physiotherapy and a Masters in Exercise & Sports Science at the University of Sydney and previously a Bachelor of Science. He has worked with the Sydney Swans AFL Club for the past three years and is in his second year as the physiotherapist for the Newtown Jets Rugby League Club. He has worked with numerous other sports including Rugby Union, Basketball and Athletics at a semi-professional level. He has specific interests in injury prevention, sports injury diagnosis and management, orthopaedic conditions and exercise based rehabilitation.
