Liz is a Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists and a recognised Specialist Sports Physiotherapist.
Liz has extensive experience in diagnosis & treatment of musculo-skeletal conditions.
Liz has extensive experience in front line injury diagnosis and management in a number of sports including Rugby League, Water Polo, Aussie Rules & Rugby Union.
Following on from a stint with the NSW Blues State of Origin team from 1992- 2007. Liz returned to the NSW Origin Staff in 2012 and is currently the Blues’ Head Physiotherapist.
Liz Has just finished a year at the St George Illawarra Dragons as Head of Medical.
Liz has also been the physiotherapist for over a decade at both the Sydney Roosters & South Sydney Rabbitohs clubs. As well as, the physiotherapist for representative sides such as the Kangaroos, City & Country Origin & the Indigenous All Stars.
Liz has also spent the last Olympic cycle with the Aussie Stingers (Women’s Water Polo), working along side them during their 2012 Bronze medal winning campaign.
Liz is actively involved in the clinical education of undergraduate physiotherapists and mentoring of candidates undertaking the specialization programmes. And regularly lectures and gives tutorials
Liz has interest and experience with many musculo-skeletal conditions with particular interest in contact injuries including knees, shoulder and hips.
Mark has been a partner in the practice since 1986. He did his initial physiotherapy degree at Sydney University and followed up to attain a Graduate Diploma in Manipulative Therapy.
He is a recognised Sport Physiotherapist by the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
Mark has travelled extensively both for work and pleasure. He spent a year working at the largest Sports Medicine Practice in Calgary, Canada.
Mark is a former rugby league player for both Balmain and Wests. This affords him both first hand and professional experience in the area of Rugby League injuries.
He was club physiotherapist for South Sydney for 15 years, did a 5 year stint with the Australian Kangaroos, Fijian National and Moari Rugby league teams and is currently in his 5th year as physiotherapist for City Rugby League team. For the past several years he has toured to England and France with the AIS U18 Rugby League team.
Mark is also extensively experienced in the “Industrial Athlete” having spent more than 10 years providing services to Qantas and Woolworths.
Jessica has worked as a qualified Physiotherapist for the past 8 years in various private practices across Sydney and the United Kingdom.
Jessica is experienced in treating a wide variety of sports injuries, musculoskeletal conditions and post surgical patients. She also has extensive experience in hydrotherapy and developing aquatic based exercise programs.
Jessica has a passion for learning and has undertaken numerous physiotherapy courses to further her knowledge and improve her clinical skills. Jessica has been able to develop a wide range of treatment techniques to suit the individual needs of each patient, including manual therapy, soft tissue releases, muscle energy techniques and Pilates.
Jessica has a keen interest in core stability and exercise rehabilitation. Jessica currently teaches Clinical Pilates classes at South Sydney Sports Medicine to assist in restoring strength, control and balance back to the body.
Jessica has grown up in the local area and has come from a strong sports background herself. She has had her fair share of injuries growing up so is empathetic to her patients as she can relate to the restrictions, frustration and pain of injuries.
Philippe graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 2010. Upon completion of his degree he received a Graduate position at Royal North Shore Hospital. His time spent at RNSH included rotations in various departments gaining extensive experience within Musculoskeletal, Cardio-respiratory, Intensive Care, Plaster Casting, Emergency, Neurological, Multi-trauma, Spinal and Orthopaedic Physiotherapy.
In 2013, Philippe moved into private practice where he adopts a holistic approach and enjoys the challenge of providing treatments that involve rehabilitation and preventative strategies for complete physical, medical, mental and emotional care. In 2014, Philippe moved to Townsville where he worked as part of the SportsMed NQ team providing sports coverage to the Northern Fury Football State League team, and working with the Townsville Crocodile and Fire NBL and WNBL players in the clinic setting.
In 2015, Philippe returned to Sydney and is excited to join the team at South Sydney Sports Medicine. Philippe has also been appointed Head Physiotherapist for the Sydney Roosters Junior development teams and will continue to provide sports coverage at a high level. Having completed several courses in GemT dry needling, Titleist Performance Golf Institute, McKenzie Lumbar Spine MDT, APA Sports, Orthopaedic Assessment of Joints and Musculoskeletal Injuries, Philippe plans to complete further professional development in Sports Physiotherapy in the future.
Philippe’s passion for physiotherapy comes from his love of all sports; having participated at a high level in tennis, swimming and AFL. He also enjoys golf, water polo, basketball, soccer, touch rugby and skiing. Philippe is experienced in managing a wide variety of sports, orthopaedic rehabilitation, workcover and musculoskeletal injuries, with a keen focus on functional rehabilitation. His first hand experience of an ACL reconstruction enables him to relate to his patients on an empathetic level, whilst understanding the rehabilitation process on a personal level.
